The European Society for Gene and Cell Therapy seeks to honour impacting, significant and lasting contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy. We have devised an award structure which we hope will acknowledge achievements at student level all the way to eminence in longer-standing careers.
We feel passionately that the dissemination of education is vital to the continued growth of the field, including areas such as mentoring, public education, science communication, and presentation of content. We are therefore adding awards to our existing panel which are designed to appreciate and further work in these fields.
Please see below the list of the ESGCT awards available. More details on each award can be found below. Please note that current Board Members, including Student Board Members, are excluded from all awards, except travel grants.

TOTAL AWARDS VALUE: €10.000 (20 x €500)
The ESGCT offers to sponsor an award for a YI as selected and awarded in a national society annual meeting.
Finding ways to share your research and to get people from outside the scientific community involved is an increasingly important, and in some cases necessary, part of the research process. We are seeking examples of hands-on science, informal science activities, citizen advice projects and events that have engaged the public in gene and/or cell therapy research. Sharing experiences, expertise, and opinions online through blogs, vlogs, writing for traditional media will also be considered. ESGCT wants to help promote excellent work.
TOTAL AWARDS VALUE: €500 cash award, and complimentary registration to annual congress (award winner will have to organise and pay for own travel and accommodation)
