Applications are open for ESGCT ECR Board Members

ESGCT is committed to the training and support of students and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) in the gene and cell therapy field. As part of this mission, ESGCT recruits ECR Board Members who have special responsibilities for students and ECRs, and help the Society to support, build and grow its student and early post-doc community. 

ESGCT is pleased to invite applications to become a co-opted ECR Member of the ESGCT Board. There are 3 positions available. As well as managing ECR-focused activities at the Annual Congress and Spring School, the ECR Board Members will also plan initiatives to engage and support ESGCT’s student and ECR community throughout the year.

ECR Board Member: Events and Initiatives (2 positions available)
With a primary responsibility for developing, organising and delivering initiatives and activities which specifically benefit students and ECRs. This includes organising and managing student and ECR networking and ice-breaker events at ESGCT’s Annual Congress and Spring School.

ECR Board Member: Media (1 position available)
With a primary responsibility for regularly producing and posting content on ESGCT’s social media channels, promoting ESGCT’s ECR activities, and managing social media activities at the Annual Congress and Spring School.

The ECR Board Member position is an ex-officio voluntary role, whereby ECR Board Members have the opportunity to participate in Board meetings and have influence but are not able to vote. The term is for 2 years effective from 27 April 2022.
